The event
What the room explored
The August gathering brought platform setup, storage format evolution, and operational ingestion reliability into one room. These topics meet in real systems, where a modern table format is only useful when the pipeline feeding it can survive rebalances, retries, and long-running synchronization.
The program moved from a production Kafka publish-and-subscribe setup into Iceberg V3 capabilities, then closed with the consistency risks created by rebalancing, offset management, exactly-once processing, and upserts in ingestion jobs that run for hours or days.
